Let's getaway and get outta town and experience something fun and different: SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS! You don't have to be "witchy" or "woo" to join us on this *almost* all-inclusive 4 night/3 day excursion. There will be a variety of planned activities that give you a taste of this historic community and free time to let you explore and shop as you please. SO...let's get into it!
Travel dates are Wednesday, September 8th to Sunday, September 12th.

Excursions: There will be a total of 6 planned tours: 3 are daytime walking tours, 1 is a trolley tour, and 1 walking tour at night. There is also a sunset harbor cruise for our last night of the retreat.
Food: We will enjoy 4 meals at specific locations as a group that tie into our excursions, and those will be paid for. You are responsible for the other 5 meals and alcoholic beverages, but 2 of those are breakfast and the hotel has free breakfast.
A fully narrated daytime Salem Trolley ride, a tour through the iconic Salem Witch Museum , a dedicated Witch Trial walking tour, and a literary and architectural journey through the stunning, oceanfront House of the Seven Gables.
A dedicated daytime walking tour with the acclaimed Black Cat Cemetery & Witch Trials Tour, taking us physically through the historic Old Burying Point to explore court transcripts and colonial life.
An exclusive evening storytelling journey with Ghost City Tours through Salem’s most legendary, moonlit historic sites.
A scenic, sunset harbor cruise along the shorelines of Salem, Marblehead, and Beverly to watch the autumn sky shift over the Atlantic.
Gluten friendly options at these hot spots: High-end New American dinners at Dire Wolf Tavern, wood-fired artisanal pizza at Bambolina, a vibrant waterfront dinner overlooking the harbor at Sea Level Oyster Bar (non-seafood options available!), and a brunch at Salem's Retreat—a local, historic-themed favorite known for its cozy neighborhood charm, warm hospitality, and classic New England comfort food. Our hotel offers free breakfast, as well.
There are so many wonderful shops and sites to explore in Salem and in the surrounding area. Each day has plenty of free time built in to schedule a witchy photo shoot, an aura photo reading, or maybe a broom-making class!
Salem isn't just about witch trials. There is the popular, world class Peabody Essex Museum, which features world-class collections of maritime art, Asian export art, and historic New England homes. You can also take a relaxing stroll down the beautiful, brick-paved Essex Street Pedestrian Mall to browse local artisan crafts, or wander down to Pickering Wharf to watch the boats roll into the harbor. If you want to step out of downtown, the breathtaking rocky coastline of neighboring Marblehead and the historic, oceanside parks of Beverly are just a short ride away, offering the perfect peaceful escape to ground your energy and take in the classic New England scenery.
Airline flights: You are responsible for booking your ticket. As a group we can try to arrange a flight together that makes sense for traveling into Boston.
Transportation: If you are not traveling with the group to and from the airport/hotel, you are responsible for solo transportation. If the group is able to coordinate flights together, we can arrange travel and determine costs at that time. If you decide to leave Salem and go back to the hotel, you are responsible for that transportation.
Meals not included: You are responsible for 5-6 meals and alcoholic beverages, but 2 of those are breakfast and the hotel has free breakfast.
Travel insurance: Plan accordingly and purchase insurance if needed.

Price does not include airfare to Logan Airport, Boston. Ideally this is a local group to Fargo, ND and we would coordinate flights out of Hector Int'l Airport, together and ride share or I can coordinate a transportation service for the group. Check in at the hotel is 4pm. Keep in mind that Boston traffic is notoriously busy, so if you Uber or Lyft, the prices will be higher at peak traffic times. There is public transportation to Peabody, Mass, where we will be staying. If you get to the hotel prior to check in, they will store your luggage.
We will be staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Peabody, Mass. The hotel is located 2 miles from Salem, and we will coordinate ride shares back and forth to Salem. Each room is double occupancy, with a separate living room, a kitchenette, and dual vanities. There will be one King single occupancy, with a price increase of $600. The King room also has a separate living room and kitchenette.
There will be meals paid for throughout the retreat: 1 brunch and 3 dinners. The restaurants chosen all have gluten friendly options. Participants are responsible for any alcoholic beverages with meals. The hotel offers free breakfasts.
Everyday there will be planned tours and meals to do as a group that will be scheduled and reserved for us, but there will be plenty of free time each day to explore Salem and shop on your own. The hotel is a quick ride share for about $25 if you wish to go back to the hotel to rest.
Each participant will be given information on the hotel location, restaurants and tours, as well as other attractions and hot spots (like public bathroom locations!) so you will know exactly where to go, when to be there, and suggestions on where you might like to wander and explore. This will be printed and emailed with hyperlinks for easy access.
